adobo Run After Dark 2011 is a fantasy-themed run for an estimated 5,000 runners. This electrifying, one-of-a-kind event kicks off the Halloween-All Saints'-All Souls' Day long weekend. After last year's initial adobo Run After Dark, the organizers are ready to mount the 2nd edition with more pizzazz and surprises. There will be an after-run party with live music, free flowing beer, a sideline bazaar, spectacular performers (samba percussionists, poi dancers, fire breathers, carnival queens), fireworks display, dazzling lights show, and fantasy costumes.Event Organizer

Q: How do I join the race?
A: For a standard registration fee of P750 you may register for the adobo Run After Dark 2011. There are two options for registration. One is through the on-line facility www.adoborun.runningmate.ph that is already up and working. The other option is through the in-store/manual registration at R.O.X. in BHS, Toby's EDSA Shangri-La Mall, and Runnr Trinoma from Oct 3 to 28, 1pm to 8pm daily.Q: How do I go about with on-line registration?
A: First step is to deposit the appropriate amount favor CRUSH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (Acct # 1700202764 Paseo de Roxas 2 branch, Savings Account) at any BDO branch for any of the following options:
• P750 (race registration fee only; race kit pick-up at R.O.X. until Oct 28)
• P900 (race registration fee and race kit delivery within Metro Manila)
• P950 (race registration fee and race kit delivery outside Metro Manila pick-up)
Take note of the branch where the deposit has been made and the date and time of transaction (all these details are on the transaction slip). Once this is done, log on to www.adoborun.runningmate.ph. Upon completing your registration, you will receive a preliminary electronic notification right away. Within 48 hours upon verification of the details you have submitted, you will receive a validation email confirming your race registration.Q: Who could join the race?
A: Practically anybody. Individuals below the age of 18 should have an expressed parental consent as indicated in their registration form.Q: Is the registration fee refundable/transferrable?
A: No. The registration fee is neither refundable nor transferrable. However, should you decide to change the race category you want to join after registration, you may contact the organizers not later than Oct 28 for assistance.Q: What are the race categories?
A: There are three race categories: 3k Costume Run, 5k, and 15k.Q: Are all race participants required to be in costume?
A: Except in the 3k category, participants may opt to run in their most comfortable running outfit. However, if anybody wants to run in costume in his/her chosen race category, that will definitely add fun to their participation.Q: What is considered a costume?
A: Anything other than the normal running outfit will be considered a costume. A headdress or mask is already a costume, in particular.Q: Is there a prize for being in costume?
A: One participant will be selected by the organizers to be given the "best in costume" award. He/she will receive a cash prize of P10,000.00.Q: What are the inclusions of the registration fee?
A: The registration fee includes a slot in the race, race kit (race singlet, race bib, Runningmate timing chip, safety pins, route map, race info sheet, 2 glow-in-the-dark sticks), Finisher's Certificate, loot bag, and party stub.Q: Is there a Finisher's Medal to be given to race participants?
A: Finisher's Medal will be given to top 500 finishers in the 5k and 15k, respectively.Q: What is new about running in the adobo Run?
A: adobo Run is the first night race to be held in Aseana City. It is the first race where runners from different race categories will run in 3 separate distinct waves ensuring that most participants of the preceding category have finished before the runners of the next category are released. It is also the first race where participants could enjoy running on paved roads without any vehicle in the immediate vicinity, at night, by the bay. Awesome.Q: When do I get the race kit?
A: For manual registration, it will be given right away upon registration. For on-line registration done before the start of manual registration, it will be picked-up/delivered starting Oct 3. For on-line registrants you/or a representative should present their registration confirmation printout upon claiming of the kit.Q: How do I get to the race venue?
A: Aseana City, the race venue is three blocks away from Mall of Asia, to the direction of Coastal Road. On foot from that point it will take less than 10 minutes, a great way to warm-up.Q: If I am going to bring a car, where could I park it?
A: The nearest and best place to park your vehicle is at the nearby MOA parking lots. The organizers will deploy non-uniformed security personnel to beef up safety in those areas. No parking will be allowed along the road as it will be towed by the MMDA right away.Q: Is there a baggage deposit facility for the race?
A: Yes and it is only available only for race participants. Race participants should present their race bibs upon depositing and claiming their baggage. The baggage check-in will be open starting 6pm. Participants are advised to arrive earlier to deposit their bags to avoid delays. While utmost care and security will be observed, the organizers will not be responsible for any loss or damaged items or delays in retrieving bags.Q: How do I use the issued Runningmate RFID timing chip?
A: The Runningmate RFID timing chip should be folded in half, cross-wise. The labeled part should be the top while the rear portion should be the one stapled on the top part of the race bib. A: Wearing the issued race singlet is not mandatory. However, participants who will not be in costume are encouraged to wear them so it will help race marshals identifying non-legitimate runners.Q: Where is the Start and Finish of the race?
A: The Start/Finish point of the race is at the roundabout area on Asean Avenue in Aseana City.Q: What are the gunstart times of each race category?

15K – 9:00pmQ: Who will be allowed to be on the race course?
A: Only registered participants will be allowed within the designated race course. Supporters of the participants may stay at sidewalk behind the barricades to cheer for their participating friend/family member. However, they may not go beyond the demarcating barrier that marks the beginning of the staging area. Only organizers/accredited guests, sponsors, and suppliers and participants upon presentation of their race bibs will be given access to the staging area. Except for those accredited by the organizers, no motorized vehicle or instruments with built-in wheels will be allowed on the race course. Pets are absolutely not allowed in both the race course and staging area.Q: Are there prizes to be awarded to top finishers? What prizes will be awarded for each Category?
