It's about time. Award shows make a killing with entry fees. It's making a huge dent on our budget. Besides, the cost skews the work towards the West.

DigiCon deadline extended, cash prize increased

PHILIPPINES - What drives your creativity? Put your skills to the test and be the Philippine’s creative voice in Asia. Get the chance to represent the Philippines in the 12th Digicon Animation and Movie Awards in Tokyo, Japan, organized regionally by the Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS).
 
Amateur and professional digital filmmakers and animators are invited to join the Philippine leg of the DigiCon6 Awards. This is the country’s first time to be represented in the competition and compete against content creators from across Asia such as Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
 
Gold Award winner will win PhP 30,000 cash and a trip to Tokyo, Japan inclusive of airfare and accommodations to attend the Awards Ceremony and vie for the top prize of JPY 500,000.
 
All entries must be submitted by August 5, 2010.
