Awards: Agencies in APAC have 114 finalists for The One Show 2021

NEW YORK, USA — The One Club for Creativity has announced 55 agencies in 12 countries and regions in Asia-Pacific have 114 entries selected by its global juries of top creative leaders as finalists for The One Show 2021.

All finalists will be awarded a Gold, Silver, Bronze Pencil or Merit at this year’s One Show, to be announced on June 10 during the online Creative Week 2021.

Mainland China: 28 finalists 
TBWA\Media Arts Lab Shanghai leads the country with five One Show 2021 finalists, all for Apple “Shot on iPhone 12 Pro Max I Chinese New Year—Nian”.

Heaven&Hell Shanghai has three finalists, all for “Tmall New Culture-#Not Uncommon” on behalf of Tmall.

Tencent Shenzhen has three, including one each with 25 Hours Guangzhou for Tencent Charity/99 Giving Day “Hope for Hometown”; with Rudo Company Buenos Aires and Stink Studios Shanghai for Tencent & United Nations-2030 SDGs “The Penguin & The Whale”; and with Freedom Shenzhen for “A Singing Masterpiece” on behalf of The Palace Museum+Tencent/Tencent QQ music.

Amber China with Pafassion Lab and The Nine, all in Shanghai, has two finalists for Durex “Safely Feel The Real World”.

Ogilvy Beijing has two, both for Huawei Device Co. “Augmented Archaeology”. Ogilvy Shanghai with Nono Studio and Visionmax also has two, both for “Voice Doodler” on behalf of Illuma by Wyeth Nutrition, UK.

ShenZhen Lingyun Creative Packaging Design Shenzhen has two finalists: one for Henan Yuxinlong Ecological Wudu Development “WuDu (Black Porcelain)”, and the other for “ZhiHou Baijiu” on behalf of Jianshui Honghui aquaculture industry.

Hong Kong: 13 finalists 
Cheil Hong Kong has eight finalists in The One Show 2021, including six for Volkswagen “Abandoned Stations” and two for Chupa Chups “Joy Sticks”.

Ogilvy Hong Kong has three finalists, all for “Pizza Hut x IKEA SÄVA” on behalf of Pizza Hut.

With one finalist each are One Plus Partnership Hong Kong for SFC Cinema “SFC Shangying Cinema Luxe”, and Redfuse Communications with Ogilvy & Mather and Hogarth, both in Bangkok, for Colgate-Palmolive “Yimsu”.

India: 11 finalists
Ogilvy India Mumbai leads the country with four finalists, including three with Good Morning Films Mumbai for “The Artist” on behalf of Savlon, and one with Wavemaker Mumbai, Delta X Bangalore and Country Boyz Films Mumbai for Mondelez “#NotJustACadburyAd”.

Wunderman Thompson Mumbai has three finalists, including two for Jimmy Nelson Foundation “Save Our Sentinels”, and one for “Jeep Iconography” on behalf of Celica Jeep.

One finalist each go to Famous Innovations Mumbai for The Photographic Society of India “The Photograph that Wasn’t”; Grey India for “Gillette Man Enough”; Good Morning Films Mumbai with Dentsu Impact for “Chotu” on behalf of My Choices Foundation, and Subhajit Mukherjee Mumbai with Wunderman Thompson Kolkata and Little Lamb Films Mumbai for “Stay Safe behind the #DoorsOfIndia” on behalf of Tata Pravesh.

Indonesia: 4 finalists 
Hakuhodo Indonesia Jakarta has all four One Show 2021 finalists for the country, all for “Flavour of Home” on behalf of Sushi Sei.

Japan: 16 finalists 
Dentsu Tokyo has three finalists this year. One is for Kura Sushi ”Tuna Scope 2020”, one with Adbrain and PICT, both in Tokyo, for Toyota Motor Corporation “Born From WRC GR Yaris”, and one with Plug and Foton, both in Tokyo, for “Panda Teleportation via Newspaper” on behalf of Chunichi Shimbun/Tokyo Shimbun.

Geometry Ogilvy Japan with Birdman, both in Tokyo, also has three finalists, all for IBM “Second Life”.

iyamadesign Tokyo has two finalists, both for “mt art project” on behalf of Kamoi Kakoshi. Also with two is OUWN Tokyo, one for Abunotsuru “Miyoshi Hana” and one for “Bonbo” on behalf of Kinto.

One finalist each went to Drawrope Iwakura; LIFULL with Shun MorikawaHACOYAHajime Nohara and Hokkai Shikohsha, all in Sapporo; Sony Music Solutions Tokyo, TBWA\HAKUHODO with TYO PRO2 and Birdman, all in Tokyo; and Wieden+Kennedy Japan with Aww and Maxilla, all in Tokyo.

Malaysia: 1 finalist 
GREY Malaysia Kuala Lumpur has the country’s only One Show 2021 finalist for “Your Plastic Diet” on behalf of WWF.

Philippines: 4 finalists 
GIGIL with Arcade, both in Manila, has two finalists, both for RC Cola: one for “Family” and the other for “Whatever” campaign.

BBDO Guerrero with Flare Manila, both in Makati City, has one finalist for “The Dissolving Bottle”, and TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno Makati City has one for “Tubbataha Coral Rip” on behalf of Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park & World Heritage Site.

Singapore: 15 finalists 
BBH Singapore leads the country with eight finalists in The One Show 2021, including four with Crystal Technology Solution Hanoi for the Running Stories fitness app.

The agency has two finalists with Jack Morton Worldwide Singapore for Riot Games/League of Legends: Wild Rift “Honeyfruit”, and one each for Absolut Vodka “ABSOLUT – It’s In Our Spirit” with Psyop Los Angeles and Stink Pictures London, and “Virtual Sentosa” on behalf of Sentosa Development Corporation with Zeno Group Singapore.

Cindy I-Hsuan Wang with Nanyang Technological University, both in Singapore, has two finalists, both for her own “Drinking Alone with the Moon”.

With one One Show 2021 finalists each are Forsman & Bodenfors Singapore with Gojek Singapore, and Caviar and Mathematic Studio, both in Paris; Ogilvy Singapore with Freeflow ProductionsSong Zu and Hogarth WorldWide, all in Singapore; Ramblin’ Brands Singapore; TBWA\Singapore with SixToes.tv Singapore, and Smuggler and Black Kite Studios, both in London; and WindowSwap Singapore.

South Korea: 11 finalists 
Cheil Worldwide Seoul has the country’s most One Show 2021 finalists with eight. They include four with Bounce Creative and Vision Holdings, both in Seoul, for “Hope Tape” on behalf of Korean National Police Agency, and four with Giant StepAlleysquare Creative and Somerz Sound, all in Seoul, for EMART “Light Saver”.

Innocean Worldwide Seoul has three finalists, one each for Paracosm Studio ”Air Padding”; Facebook Korea “The Cheering Bandage Campaign”; and “Mask ID” for Dal.komm COFFEE for the Ministry of Health and Welfare with Planit Production Seoul.

Taiwan: 2 finalists 
Ogilvy Taiwan with Ogilvy Hong Kong has both of the country’s finalists for “UNI-FORM” on behalf of Vogue.

Thailand: 7 finalists 
Wunderman Thompson Bangkok with Verve Thailand has three One Show 2021 finalists, all for Thai Airways “Stay Home Miles Exchange”.

TBWA\Thailand with McThai Co., Le Photographe and Visionary, all in Bangkok, has two One Show 2021 finalists for “Burger & Me” on behalf of McDonald’s. Wolf Bangkok also has two, both for Central Department Store “Shop Unfriend”.

Vietnam: 2 finalists 
Dentsu Redder Vietnam Ho Chi Minh has both of the country’s finalists for The One Show 2021 for “Arising Dragon” on behalf of Biti’s Hunter.

Globally, Droga5 New York leads the way with 44 finalist entries. Other leading finalist agencies are FCB Chicago with 35, DDB Chicago with 30, and AMVBBDO London and TBWA\Media Arts Lab Los Angeles each with 29.

Woojer in Israel with Area 23 New York and Claire’s Place Foundation Redondo Beach, have The One Show 2021 entry with the most finalists: 27 for “Sick Beats”. FCB New York has 26 finalists for “Michelob ULTRA Courtside” for Michelob ULTRA with Microsoft and the NBA.

In the lead up to the awards ceremony during Creative Week, The One Club will announce all Best of Discipline winners for The One Show 2021 on June 1. Members of creative teams responsible for a select group of top winners will discuss the work with jury members in live streaming sessions on June 10.

Under the banner “Connect. Provoke. Inspire.,” Creative Week 2021 will include The One Show 2021, historic ADC 100th Annual Awards, Young Ones Student Awards and Type Directors Club special awards ceremonies, dozens of general programming panels and workshops across Awards, Agency, Main and Education Stages, and premium events on the VIP Stage including the Executive Creative Summit for agency principals and a day-long Creative unConference.

Registration and ticketing for Creative Week 2021 is now open, with three tiers of pricing by region to make the festival more affordable. Content on the Awards Stage, including all One Show, ADC, Young Ones and TDC awards ceremonies, is free.
