Pecha Kucha Night in Manila

PHILIPPINES, August 25, 2010 – Speed dating or speed talking, it doesn’t matter. As long as designers get to showcase their work, in say, 20 slides for 20 seconds each, you can call it a night. Rather, a Pecha Kucha Night. Conceived in 2003 by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham Architecture, Pecha Kucha (which in Japanese is the sound of conversation) is a venue for young designers from different industries to network and show their work to the interested (and interesting) public.

Speakers Wawi Navarozza, Mark Nicdao, Electrolychee, AJ Dimarucot, Carl Javier, Mark Meily, Paulo Alcazaren, Peachie Dioquino-Valera, Nina Terol-Zialcita, Irene Sarmiento, Tuldok Animation Studios, and By Implication will keep the design-frenzied night short but definitely sweet.

The event is organized by Ideals Creatives, Inc., a group of young designers who advocate social change through their services to organizations and hold trainings that champion creativity and social awareness.
