Hot Air Balloon fills key management posts for Altitude and Gondola

    MANILA, JANUARY 16, 2013 – Integrated marketing communications group Hot Air Balloon has filled up the key leadership posts for Altitude (digital-driven events and activations) and Gondola (mobile solutions), with the appointments of Mike Aguilar and Jojit Alcazar as managing directors.

    Group CEO TJ Parpan commented on the appointments: "Having these posts filled will now accelerate the group in offering the best digital services across our different business entities. We’ve welcomed both to the group with an enthusiastic Up, Up and Away!"
     
    Leading Altitude is Aguilar, a local and international brand campaign specialist with over 10 years of experience in events management, brand activation and merchandising. He was the managing director of Post Ad Ventures Inc, and was instrumental in leading the company to become a major player in the industry. His work with Post Ad has been closely associated with several top Philippine and multinational brands such as Coca-Cola, Smart Communications, Lafarge Republic Cement Philippines, Intel Philippines, among others. The range of his experiential and creative activities also included ventures with government agencies such as the Metro Manila Development Authority, Department of Tourism and the provincial Government of Camarines Sur.
     
    Alcazar will head Gondola. He has over 16 years of experience in the industry and is a recognized pioneer in mobile marketing and value-added services.  He headed the mobile marketing group at Smart Communications for close to four years. He was also the general manager of Wolfpac Mobile Inc, a 100% owned Smart subsidiary focusing on mobile and web applications and platforms. He is also currently the CEO of Pipe Ventures, a consultancy group specializing on telco services in the Philippines.
     
    As a recognized expert in the industry, he sat as a board director of the APAC chapter of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) given that he was the chairman of the MMA Philippine Council.  He was likewise a director of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) for three years where he was previously the vice president in 2010.  He has participated and spoken in numerous local, regional and global mobile marketing and telecom conferences as well as judged in various Digital Awards competitions.
     
    His work in Mobile Marketing had likewise gained local and international recognition. He was recently accorded the Mobile Marketing Leadership Award by the CMO Council Asia in 2011. His team in partnership with Unilever took home the Best Mobile Advertising Campaign trophy in the 2009 GSMA Mobile Asia Awards.  Other awards include IMMAP Boomerang Gold awards, finalists in the MMA global awards and GSMA Mobile Asia Awards.
    Prior to Smart, he was the head for content and marketing for Wireless Services Asia.  He likewise co-founded Solar Interactive and was part of the pioneer team of zed Philippines as its marketing manager.
