Sony PH, Black Market brings the bass with “Silent Parties” till March 2016

MANILA – A silent dance party might look very confusing for an outsider: you can definitely expect people dancing and the DJs working the turntables but there’s just no music.

Until you put on a pair of headphones, that is.

Sony Philippines has kicked off a series of these special dance parties until March 2016 with local music club Black Market to promote underground Filipino music talents and a appreciation for quality music delivered by the brand’s Xtra Bass (XB) line-up of earphones.

Dubbed “Silent Parties,” the format is similar with the Sony Silent Concert from last year. This time, DJs pipe their music through Sony XB headphones stationed at specially designed kiosks at Black Market.

Sony Philippines also partnered with Team Manila, who designed special t-shirts that glow under ultraviolet light. An awesome neon sign was also installed inside Black Market for the duration of the Silent Parties to entice club goers to snap a photo and share it on social media with the hashtags #sonyblackmarketmnl and #sonyxbass.

“The Silent Party is meant to give music fans a deeper appreciation of the music,” said Cel Anolin, product manager for personal audio at Sony Philippines.

“By delivering the sound straight to Sony’s Xtra Bass headphones, listeners are guaranteed a more upbeat and heart-thumping listening experience, unlike anything they’ve heard before.”

The Silent Parties will feature some of the Philippines’ best underground music talents such as The Zombettes, Skratchmark, Italo, Yana, Vince Pante and David Sorrenti. Resident DJs such as Erick Ong (Mulan), Red Lintag (Red-l), Angelo Mendez, PJ Martinez (Don P) and Astrid Reyes (Soulflower) will also be onboard.
