BANGSAR, MALAYSIA – In an ambitious cross-industry collaboration, CelcomDigi Berhad, OMD Malaysia, and Media Prima Berhad have launched Kisah Benar: Scam Siber, a special segment wsithin TV3’s long-standing crime series 999, with the aim of addressing the rising threat of cyber scams in Malaysia.
This 13 episode public service content initiative, airing weekly from July 1 to September 23, 2025, leverages the emotive power of real life storytelling to educate the public on the diverse and evolving tactics employed by cybercriminals from phishing websites and data theft to love and parcel scams. By broadcasting dramatized reenactments of true scam cases reported to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the segment seeks to instill digital literacy and empower viewers to recognize and report cyber fraud.
