SINGAPORE – As Singapore commemorates six decades of independence in 2025, digital travel platform Agoda is marking the historic occasion with the launch of its SG60 Celebration Campaign. Aimed at supporting inbound and outbound tourism, the campaign offers up to 20% discounts on travel bookings from 1 to 15 August 2025, coinciding with the city-state’s National Day celebrations.
The campaign comes at a time of heightened interest in Singapore from across Asia and beyond. According to Agoda’s search data from April to June 2025, Thailand leads the region in growing interest, with a 10% year on year increase in searches for Singapore. Other top origin markets include Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and South Korea. Long-haul travel interest is also on the rise, with countries like Austria, Spain and Denmark showing notable growth.
In alignment with Singapore’s year-long SG60 initiative, Agoda’s campaign is designed not only to celebrate the nation’s achievements but also to spotlight its vibrant culture, culinary landscape and world class infrastructure.
“As Agoda celebrates 20 years in Singapore, the SG60 Celebration Campaign is a special celebration for us,” said Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda. “Through our close collaboration with Singapore’s tourism authority in past years, we are using innovative, data-driven campaigns to showcase the city’s unique appeal to global travelers during the nation’s 60th year of independence.”
The SG60 campaign features collaboration with key hospitality and aviation partners including Resorts World Sentosa, Furama Hotels International, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly. This extensive network underscores Agoda’s position as a trusted partner for high impact tourism initiatives in the region.
“Agoda helps us attract customers from the region and beyond thanks to its wide reach and customer base. We’re truly excited to be part of the SG60 Celebration Campaign,” said Mathew Chan, Regional Director of Revenue at Furama Hotels International. “This collaboration allows us to connect with both new and returning guests from around the world. We look forward to sharing the warmth of our hospitality and creating memorable experiences for every traveler who walks through our doors.”
Beyond attracting visitors to Singapore, the campaign also recognizes the outbound travel trend among Singaporeans. In 2025 alone, Agoda recorded searches from Singaporeans to over 100 countries, with China witnessing a 40% year on year surge. Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia continue to top the list of favorite nearby destinations.
Agoda’s global presence and technological infrastructure continue to support millions of travelers across Asia and beyond. With a localized approach and data backed insights, the platform remains a growth enabler for hotels, airlines, and tourism operators looking to reach new audiences during this landmark year for Singapore.
