Cheil Spain has appointed Alejandro Di Trolio as its new Chief Creative Officer (CCO). The promotion reflects the agency’s strategic evolution and consolidates a new phase defined by innovation, cultural impact and business value creation.
Since joining in 2019, Di Trolio has focused on evolving the agency’s creative model towards a more integrated approach, where creativity, technology and data operate as a single system geared towards measurable outcomes. This vision has enabled the company to expand its ambition and reinforce its role as a strategic partner for clients.
Under his leadership, Cheil Spain has experienced one of its strongest periods in terms of national and international recognition, positioning the agency as a key creative benchmark within the global network. These achievements have strengthened its reputation across Spain and Europe, while helping attract specialised talent, expand innovation capabilities and build client confidence in more ambitious and complex projects.
In his new role as CCO, Di Trolio will focus on further elevating the agency’s creative standards, deepening cross-disciplinary integration and accelerating the development of solutions that go beyond traditional communications to become experiences and campaigns with tangible impact.
He will also play a key role in driving the company’s new European Center of Excellence, an integrated structure designed to elevate production standards and ensure brand consistency for Samsung across Europe, reinforcing Cheil Spain’s position as a regional benchmark for creative excellence.
“In recent years we’ve demonstrated that creativity can go beyond messaging to become a genuine transformation tool. When culture, technology and strategy come together, ideas generate not only relevance but growth. This new chapter is an opportunity to strengthen that path and take it even further”, said Di Trolio.
Kelly Kim, CEO & President of Cheil Spain, added: “Alejandro represents the natural evolution of Cheil Spain’s creative model, combining strategic vision, cultural sensitivity and a deep understanding of technology as a driver of differentiation. He has built a strong team ready to meet today’s brand challenges. This appointment recognises his track record and, above all, his potential to lead the agency’s next phase of transformation”.
With this move, Cheil Spain reaffirms its commitment to results-driven creativity, capable of anticipating change and turning innovation into a sustainable competitive advantage for brands.
