Fully Booked BGC: A flagship store that turns browsing into an experience

We book lovers know the exhilarating feeling of holding a book that resonates with us and warms our hearts. You breathe deeply, press the book to your chest, and immediately feel “All is well.”

Now, imagine that experience multiplied a thousandfold! In a multi-level bookstore filled to the brim with thousands of books, carrying millions of words and worlds waiting to be discovered. Much like Fully Booked‘s flagship store in Bonifacio Global City, established in 2007.

The Fully Booked flagship store may have been built 19 years ago, but many things have changed over the years—BGC rapidly became a business district, Fully Booked opened branches in different parts of the Philippines, and the flagship store rearranged its space following the 2020 pandemic.

Yet one thing has remained the same, and that’s Fully Booked, especially its flagship store, being a haven of discovery and connection for creators, tinkerers, and dreamers alike.

Whether you need a breather, a place to explore curiosities, or to test how far your imagination can go, you can trust Fully Booked at Bonifacio High Street to be a safe and welcoming place.

If you ever find yourself in the central business district of BGC, here are six ways you can enjoy Fully Booked BGC to the fullest, as we hope to continue to ignite your magic, wonder, and love for books.

Take your time. Explore to your heart’s content.

One of the biggest compliments the flagship store has ever received from a customer is, “I can stay here for hours; I can live here.” We love that because that is exactly what the flagship store was built for.

While some customers with a book already in mind are in and out in just minutes, most come to explore and enjoy browsing for hours. There are four whole floors to explore and enjoy. The first floor, where fiction, merchandise, and toys are displayed, is where guests are initially welcomed.

Before going up the third and fourth floors, head down to the basement first. Here you’ll find journals, notebooks, pens, planners, and all kinds of stationery, as well as character merchandise, like Studio Ghibli and Sumikko Gurashi, and plenty of trinkets.

Afterwards, go up the second floor where you’ll find the children’s section, lifestyle, local books, and graphic novels. Looking for non-fiction, professional books, and art books? Go up to the third floor and find a read that will help you upskill and get that promotion.

Have fun looking around – think of it as a fantasy setting: you’re opening several doors and hearing the characters or the authors talk in succession until you find one (or two or three!) that piques your curiosity or captures your heart.

Sit on one of the many benches and read a chapter or two. Dive into the story, drown out the noise, and escape life’s daily rush and hubbub. Forget everything else and enjoy the moment.

Take a selfie with the book mural, “Discarded Romance.”

A visit to the Fully Booked BGC is not complete without a selfie by the book mural entitled “Discarded Romance.”

Created by artist Mike Stilkey, Discarded Romance is a 24-foot-high sculpture containing thousands of discarded books that reach up to the ceiling. Since its installation in 2013, the Tim Burton-esque image of the mysterious woman holding a pink cat has become a beloved companion to many readers who have visited the store.

It also symbolizes our enduring love for physical books, their covers and textures, the cracking open of the spine, the touch of the book in your hand, the smell, the feel of the pages as you turn them, and everything that makes us love printed books.

Bring your kids to the children’s section and let them discover the joy of reading.

At 144 square meters, the Fully Booked BGC children’s section is well-stocked with a wide range of books for early readers.

It also features an open, carpeted space, along with child-friendly tables and chairs where little ones can comfortably sit and explore their next favorite story. This serves as a space for parents to teach kids the wonders of unplugging from gadgets and diving into good stories, helping build their empathy and imagination.

We regularly hold events and storytelling sessions for kids here, so parents, you know the drill—stay tuned for those, as they usually happen on weekends.

Attend events like meet-the-authors, book signings, workshops, and more.

The Fully Booked flagship store never runs out of events for the bookish people. We’re always brewing something for the community – whether it’s a book signing event with an acclaimed author, a writing workshop, or a bookworm meet-up.

We engage our communities through events and connect with fellow bookworms to enjoy experiences beyond the pages. The store also serves as a hub for customers to explore their creative side. We’ve had watercolor painting workshops here, art buffets, and more.

Last year, we transformed one of our event rooms into a Reading Room, a cozy reading lounge where bookworms can browse the newest releases and advanced reading copies. And we’re doing it again this year – from April 23-25, 2026.

We have several rooms to stage events, including The Studio and The Hub on the third floor, and the U-View, a small cinema located on the basement floor.

Sit down to savor good reads and comforting food at Book & Cook

As much as it’s fun, exploring the bookstore for hours can be energy-depleting. That’s where the newly opened Book & Cook comes to the rescue. Located on the third floor, it’s the restaurant of dreams for book lovers.

Helmed by Chef Edouard Guillaud-Rollin, a Michelin-trained French chef, Book & Cook serves a menu centered on comforting dishes suited for a relaxed bookstore setting. Think buttery croissants, handmade pastas, and craft drinks to sip and savor (of course, a cup of coffee is a shoo-in!).
Book & Cook also has a unique offering: guests can browse curated books and advance reading copies (ARCs) while dining, making the experience feel like a natural extension of the bookstore. The space offers varied seating options, from a six-seater nook to square tables for two or four, as well as casual bar seating.

With its thoughtful menu and unique setting inside a beloved bookstore, Book & Cook offers a place where guests can relax, unwind, and celebrate books.

(Open Sunday to Thursday, 11 am to 9 pm; and Friday to Saturday, 11 am to 10 pm. For reservations, contact [email protected] or 09171077384.)

Enjoy a healthy and soul-nourishing meal at Medley.

Books can feed your mind and nourish your soul. And now that you’re taking care of your mental health, it makes sense to carry that intention through to the food you eat.

On the ground floor, right outside the entrance, you’ll find Medley, a Mediterranean stall serving up dishes that are both tasty and nourishing. From sandwiches and wraps to pizzas and salads, Medley offers fresh, made-to-order meals that are healthy and satisfying.

We highly recommend the Falafel Crunch, Levantine Chicken warm bowl, and White Spinach Pizza. Portions are generous, so come hungry or share with a friend—don’t say we didn’t warn you!
You can enjoy your meal al fresco right outside Fully Booked or take it to go.

As you step out of the Fully Booked BGC Flagship store, you carry more than just a book in your hands. You leave with a sense of wonder, a refreshed imagination, and a heart brimming with stories.

Fully Booked isn’t just a place to buy books; it’s a sanctuary for creativity and connection.
