During India’s Independence Day week, the iconic audio brand from the house of HARMAN is making a bold statement in print with two nationwide campaigns spotlighting its latest innovations across personal audio and home entertainment. Rolling out across leading newspapers, the campaign features two distinct creative narratives – ‘Sounds Like Freedom’ for the all-new JBL Live Series, and ‘The Future of Home Cinema’ for the JBL Bar 1300MK2, bringing together two different ways people experience great sound.

Leading the campaign is ‘Sounds Like Freedom’, created for the new JBL Live 780NC headphones and JBL Live Beam 4 true wireless earbuds. Inspired by the spirit of Independence Day, the campaign celebrates the everyday freedom to choose what you hear. Featuring the products in fresh new colorways, including white, green and orange, the creative reimagines freedom through the lens of personal listening while showcasing the latest JBL Live Series, built with True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, Auracast, JBL Spatial Sound and Wireless Hi-Res Audio for an elevated everyday listening experience.

Complementing it is ‘The Future of Home Cinema’, a premium print campaign for the JBL Bar 1300MK2. Centered around the thought ‘Effortlessly Precise. Elegantly Wireless’, the creative showcases a home entertainment experience powered by True Dolby Atmos, MultiBeam 3.0, DTS:X, detachable wireless surround speakers and PureVoice 2.0, bringing cinematic sound into the home with precision and simplicity.

Together, the two campaigns demonstrate JBL’s continued focus on category-defining innovation across all the ways people experience audio, from personal listening on the move to blockbuster entertainment at home. By occupying premium print real estate during one of India’s biggest cultural moments, JBL reinforces its leadership in sound while connecting with consumers through relevant, product-led storytelling.

Shekhar Datta, Head, Consumer Audio India, HARMAN India said, “As JBL celebrates 80 years of shaping the way the world experiences sound, this campaign is both a reflection of our legacy and our vision for the future. This Independence Day, we wanted to celebrate the freedom to experience sound on your own terms—whether that’s through the immersive, personalized listening experience of the new JBL Live Series or the cinematic performance of the JBL Bar 1300MK2 at home. These campaigns showcase our commitment to meaningful innovation across categories while reinforcing JBL’s leadership in delivering premium audio experiences that seamlessly fit into every aspect of consumers’ lives.”

Adding her perspective on the campaign, Anupama Ramaswamy, MD & Chief Creative Officer, Havas Creative India, said: “Print continues to command attention during landmark moments like Independence Day. Instead of telling one story, we used the medium to tell two, one about the freedom of personal listening, and another about bringing the magic of cinema home. Different products, different audiences, but united by JBL’s pursuit of extraordinary sound. The challenge was to make each execution feel distinct while remaining unmistakably JBL. ‘Sounds Like Freedom’ taps into a culturally relevant moment with a fresh perspective, while ‘The Future of Home Cinema’ celebrates the evolution of home entertainment. Together, they create a print campaign that’s as diverse as the ways people listen today.”

Speaking about the campaign, Uday Mohan, COO, Havas Media and Arena India, said, “Independence Day is a high-attention cultural moment, and print continues to offer brands the scale, visibility and contextual relevance to make a strong impact. For JBL, the decision to bring these two campaigns to print allows the brand to leverage the occasion while creating distinct touchpoints for its personal audio and home entertainment offerings. The combination of a strong cultural moment, premium media environments and differentiated product stories help JBL maximize visibility and strengthen its connection with consumers across key audio categories.”
