For its anniversary, Sourdough Café has partnered with The Misfits Camp, a creative training program that upskills neurodivergent adults and connects their creative talents to sustainable opportunities in the industry.
At the heart of the collaboration is King Esguerra, a divergent creative from The Misfits Camp who has loved sketching and painting since childhood. While King enjoys illustrating different subjects, there is one thing he especially loves to draw: food.
And that made Sourdough Café a perfect canvas.
Sourdough Café x The Misfits Camp
Just a few steps from Sourdough Café Perea is The Misfits Camp. What started as a connection between neighbors grew into an opportunity to showcase King’s talent and bring his illustrations to a wider audience.
Inspired by team lunches at Sourdough Café, King created a special collection featuring the food and little pleasures he loves, from freshly baked bread and morning coffee to the café’s special dishes.
His original artworks will be exhibited and available for sale at Sourdough Café until the end of September.
The collaboration is more than an art showcase. It reflects The Misfits Camp’s mission to help divergent creatives take their talents beyond training and into the real world through employment, commissioned work, freelancing, design, and other sustainable creative opportunities.

King’s work being seen, appreciated and supported is what we hope to make possible for more of our creatives. Thank you to Sourdough Café, Mike Lee, and his marketing team led by EG Bautista for believing in their talent and giving it a place at the table,” Misfits Camp Founder Merlee Jayme said.
Starting September 10, guests can also take home a piece of King’s art as part of Sourdough Café’s anniversary giveaways. An exclusive sticker pack featuring his illustrations will be available with a minimum spend of ₱1,500, while a special Sourdough Cap will be given with a minimum single-receipt purchase of ₱5,000.
Seven Delicious Years
Of course, an anniversary at Sourdough Café would not be complete without new things to eat.
The seventh anniversary introduces four new pizza flavors inspired by Sourdough Café favorites, all served on its signature sourdough crust: Granchi, Ube & Cheese, Osso Bucco, and Guanciale & Peach.
For those looking for a midday treat, ₱70 Pulpo Specials are available daily from 1–5 PM. There are also new Strawberry Butter and Matcha Butter flavors to enjoy with freshly baked sourdough slices.
Dessert joins the celebration with three new cheesecake flavors: Pistachio Praline, Manchego Basque, and Port & Maraschino Cherry.
And to end on a sweet note, The Sweet Trio brings together Coffee, Cookie & Gelato for ₱450, with guests free to mix, match, and enjoy it their way.
Seven years is a milestone worth celebrating. For Sourdough Café, it is also an opportunity to use its table for something bigger: to celebrate good food, bring people together, and make room for a different kind of creativity.
