Six months after the Time for Climate Justice campaign was launched in the Cannes International Advertising Festival, the clock has stopped tck-tck-tcking. Action is finally at hand.

Organizers and allies, which include Kofi Annan, Bob Geldof and Havas Worldwide, are delivering a petition with 10 million pledges of support to the UN Climate Conference in Copenhagen today.

"Your action in support of the ‘tck tck tck – Time for Climate Justice’ campaign will be delivered in Copenhagen today to Climate Ally Yvo de Boer, the UN’s climate chief, and Connie Hedegaard, Danish climate minister and President of the climate conference.

"15 young people from around the world will present the ‘tck tck tck’ petition, consisting of over 10 million global pledges of support, in the form of large scale “building blocks” which spell out “10 million people expect a fair, ambitious and binding deal” to show world leaders that all the elements required for an effective climate treaty are present.

"Young people will be leading this handover as a reminder that it is their future which will be affected most by the outcome of this summit.

"Climate Ally Professor Wangari Maathai, Nobel Prize Laureate and founder of the Green Belt Movement, will also speak at the occasion on behalf of civil society.

"Your support has helped to amplify the message of the Time for Climate Justice campaign. After the petition has been delivered, we ask you for your continued support in the fight for Climate Justice. We will need to continue to put pressure on our political leaders to deliver a fair, ambitious and binding climate agreement. Use our Lobby your Leader function or spread the word about the ‘tck tck tck – Time for Climate Justice’ campaign by Telling your Friends or by using Facebook, Twitter or YouTube.

"Tck tck tck. The fight for Climate Justice continues."
