PHILIPPINES, JANUARY 30, 2011 – The 2nd Philippine Association of National Advertisers Truth in Advertising (PANATA) Awards recognized 17 brands from 16 advertisers whose outstanding marketing communication materials and campaigns promote positive Filipino values. The award ceremony held last Friday at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel coincided with the induction of PANA Officers and Board of Directors for 2011.

Monde Nissin Corporation’s Lucky Me! – Gold Award for “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga 3”
Monde Nissin’s instant noodle brand Lucky Me! dominated this year’s competition with the sole Gold award and a Silver award for “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga 3”, as well as a Bronze for its “Magnifico” spot. Its agency, Publicis JimenezBasic, received a Recognition of Excellence.

Golden Arches Development Corporation (McDonald’s Philippines) bagged two Silver and three Bronze awards, all for its “Make Your McDonald’s Cheeseburger Count” campaign. Nestle Philippines won two Silver awards for Milo and two Bronze awards for Bear Brand. One Gold, 7 Silver and 26 Bronze awards were handed out from a field of 59 entries, almost twice the number of submissions from last year’s competition. The Platinum award remained elusive.
The PANATA Awards champions traditional Filipino values expressed in marketing or advertising communications, including love of family, respect for elders, prayerful, philanthropy or generosity, volunteerism, hardworking or industriousness, prudence, love of country or heroism, adaptability, flexibility or resilience, humility, obedience, honesty/integrity, loyalty and reliability.
