MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Reinforcing its commitment to workplace inclusivity and health advocacy, Teleperformance (TP) in the Philippines hosted the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) On-site HIV Training and Screening session at its Innovation & Solutions Hub in TP Aura, Taguig City. This initiative brought together over 60 medical professionals, industry leaders, and health advocates in a step toward eradicating stigma and strengthening corporate-driven HIV awareness programs.
TP recognizes the urgency of addressing the rising cases of HIV in the Philippines. Partnering with IBPAP’s Labor Standards & Health Committee, TP continues to empower organizations with the knowledge and resources necessary to implement effective workplace HIV program.
“Since 2019, we have been working to educate IBPAP members on the value of having workplace HIV programs. These include awareness talks and summits. We have champions among our IBPAP members—TP is one of them,” said Tess Azicate, IBPAP Labor Standards and Health Lead.
The session, which was both empowering and insightful, brought together over 60 participants. In addition to doctors and nurses, the activity also included TP leaders and advocates from various teams and departments, equipping them with knowledge and skills to administer HIV screenings.
The training complements TP’s HIV Awareness and Advocacy Development program and emphasizes the critical role of early detection and awareness in combatting the spread of HIV.

Addressing representatives from fellow IBPAP member companies, Jeffrey Johnson, Chief People Officer of TP in the Philippines, shared, “At TP, we truly believe that creating an environment where everyone is welcome is the foundation of everything we do—both to the success of our organization and our industry. I’m so grateful for the other IBPAP member companies for their participation and support in this critical training and development. This speaks volumes on how we’re all working together with a shared purpose and commitment.”
TP’s HIV Awareness and Advocacy Development program, launched in 2015, remains a pioneering initiative in the private sector, earning recognition from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM). Beyond local impact, TP continues to engage in international knowledge-sharing efforts, such as its 2023 dialogue with Papua New Guinea’s Key Population Advocacy Consortium (KPAC) to explore community-led HIV services.
For its efforts, TP’s HIV advocacy program was honored with the Gold Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) in 2020, a testament to its ongoing dedication to championing workplace inclusivity and public health.
