DDB Group Philippines scores major wins at 2025 International Business Awards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – DDB Group Philippines, a leading integrated marketing communications group, bagged three Gold, along with Silver and Bronze awards, at the 22nd Annual International Business Awards (International Stevies). Representing the Philippines on the global stage, companies across the Group earned awards for campaigns that transformed brands, championed advocacy, and moved markets.

“The Stevie Awards are a global benchmark for excellence, and we are truly honored to be recognized across multiple companies in our Group for some of the country’s most relevant brands. These wins reflect the passion and teamwork of our people, as well as the trust of our clients and partners, who allow us to create work that balances business results with positive impact,” said Gil Chua, Chairman and CEO of DDB Group Philippines.

Advocacies that Uplift, Protect, and Inspire

The advocacy campaign “Fame Swap,” a collaboration between the Group’s flagship agency DDB Philippines and its longtime client Cignal TV, together with parent company Mediaquest Holdings, won a GOLD Stevie in the Communications Campaign of the Year – Sport category. The campaign shone a spotlight on the nation’s sports heroes, giving them the recognition they deserve as they proudly represented the country at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The short-film series “Family Business,” created by DDB Group Philippines and its digital solutions agency Tribal Worldwide Philippines for the Philippine Commission on Women’s anti-OSAEC (online sexual abuse and exploitation of children) campaign, also won a GOLD Stevie in the Public Service and Activism category. As the Philippines continues to confront the harsh reality of OSAEC, the series serves as a powerful catalyst for awareness, education, and policy action.

Brand campaigns that break the mold

The “BYD Go Electric” campaign, developed in partnership with Optimax Communications — a hybrid integrated marketing solutions agency within the DDB Group network — earned a GOLD Stevie in the Communications Campaign of the Year – New Product Launch category. The campaign played a pivotal role in driving awareness and conversions, positioning the brand as a leader in the Philippines’ new energy vehicle segment.

The SM Supermalls’ “Tribe Marketing Revolution” campaign, in partnership with Tribal Worldwide Philippines, won a Silver Stevie for Best Use of Data to Drive Brand Strategy under the Specialty Marketing Campaign category. Leveraging data, the campaign successfully redefined what a mall could be — not just a place to shop, but a vibrant space for identity, connection, and community-driven experiences.

PepsiCo Philippines and DDB MNL’s “Sting Hataw” in 3G campaign earned a Bronze Stevie in the Marketing Campaign of the Year – Non-Alcoholic Beverages category. Through a bold, strategic pivot in digital marketing, the campaign cut through the clutter with an audience-first approach designed to resonate with a broader demographic, delivering record-breaking engagement and business results.

Campaigns fostering inclusion, sustainability, and connection

Initiatives of SM Supermalls’ CSR arm, SM Cares, entered in partnership with DDB Group’s PR agency Ripple8, earned two Silver Stevies. “A Mall for All,” winner of CSR Program of the Year, promotes accessibility and inclusivity in mall spaces, while “Coastal Cleanup,” recognized under Sustainability Initiative of the Year, mobilizes communities and partners to protect marine ecosystems. SM Cares’ “Book Nook,” winner of a Bronze Award for Achievement in CSR, promotes literacy and community bonding through free reading spaces in SM malls.

Last but not the least, PLDT and Smart’s “PLDT Enterprise Tech Week,” in partnership with Ripple8, earned a Bronze Award in the Art, Entertainment & Public – Roadshow category for its innovative showcase of technology solutions. The multi-day event featured interactive exhibits and live demonstrations, reinforcing PLDT and Smart’s role as trusted partners in driving digital transformation.
