Havas Ortega bags five Anvils, named top 3 Agency of the Year finalist

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Havas Ortega emerged as one of the most awarded agencies at the recently held 61st Anvil Awards, securing five Anvils across multiple categories and earning recognition as a Top 3 finalist for Agency of the Year—a distinction that underscores the agency’s growing impact and leadership in the Philippine public relations industry.

Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, this year’s Anvil Awards carried the theme “The 61st Second: Pushing Past Boundaries.” Out of 178 participating brands and agencies, Havas Ortega’s work stood out for its strategic depth, creative courage, and commitment to purposeful communications—reinforcing the belief that recognition in PR is never accidental, but always intentional.

“Winning at the Anvils is always meaningful because it is recognition from our own industry—one that understands the responsibility and rigor behind the craft of public relations,” said Jos Ortega, Chairman and CEO of Havas Ortega. “These awards affirm our belief that when purpose, insight, and creativity come together with intent, the work can move beyond communication and create real, lasting impact. Being named a Top 3 finalist for Agency of the Year further strengthens our commitment to keep pushing boundaries and honoring what PR can truly be.”

Award-Winning Work Rooted in Purpose and Insight

Havas Ortega’s flagship advocacy platform, The KITA Initiative, led the agency’s Anvil wins with four major recognitions:

· Best Use of Partnerships – Gold Anvil
· Sustainability Communication – Gold Anvil
· Diversity & Inclusion – Silver Anvil
· Non-Profit – Silver Anvil

The campaign was lauded for its ability to mobilize cross-sector collaboration, advance sustainability and inclusion, and elevate women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises—demonstrating how public relations can drive both societal relevance and measurable impact.

In addition, Havas Ortega earned a Silver Anvil for “Illuminating the Filipino Psyche: The Filipino Prosumer White Paper Program That Redefined Marketing Intelligence in 2025” under Online Publication for Internal and External Audiences. The program was recognized for translating deep cultural and consumer insights into accessible thought leadership that informs both business decision-making and industry discourse.

Creative Leadership and Craft

“The work recognized at this year’s Anvils reflects our creative philosophy: that ideas must be grounded in truth, culture, and human experience to matter,” said Angie Tohid, Executive Creative Director of Havas Ortega. “From The KITA Initiative to our thought leadership work, we approached every piece with empathy and intention—using creativity not as decoration, but as a force to give visibility, voice, and value to stories that deserve to be seen.”

Top 3 Agency of the Year Finalist

Beyond individual campaign wins, Havas Ortega’s recognition as a Top 3 finalist for Agency of the Year reflects the agency’s consistency, influence, and growing stature in shaping the practice of modern public relations in the Philippines.

This distinction affirms the agency’s ability to deliver work that balances strategy and creativity, purpose and performance, and local relevance with global standards—all while remaining grounded in its mission to create a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people.

Honoring the Craft and the PR Community

Havas Ortega also expressed its gratitude to the Public Relations Society of the Philippines for recognizing the agency’s work, and to the teams, partners, and communities behind each initiative who continue to push the boundaries of what public relations can achieve.

In an industry that continues to learn, serve, and evolve, the agency reaffirmed its commitment to honoring public relations as a discipline that builds trust, advances understanding, and drives positive change—especially in moments that demand clarity, courage, and conviction.

As the profession moves forward, Havas Ortega remains focused on shaping work that not only earns recognition, but contributes meaningfully to society and the future of communications.
