KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – MBCS, the media-fuelled creative content practice within the IPG Mediabrands network, has swept up the Agency of the Year title at the Malaysia Effie Awards 2025. The win recognises MBCS’s outstanding achievements in creating effective and impactful marketing campaigns for its clients.
The agency shone at the country’s most prestigious creative awards to top the tables and sweep the coveted accolade of Agency of the Year. IPG Mediabrands network agencies Initiative and Universal McCann also fared strongly, claiming the 7th and 8th spot. Overall, the agencies took home 4 Silver, 7 Bronze and 4 Finalist Awards.

The agencies took home wins for work across Safi (Wipro Unza), Mattel and U Mobile, with Silver awarded for work on Influencer Marketing for Safi’s ‘Cracking the Secret Language: Ketibas, Ketibus, Ketitam’, for Retail and Small Budget Products with Mattel’s ‘#PuasaPlay’ and for Youth Marketing Services with U Mobile’s ‘From Data to Drip’.
