3D interactive props unveiled for FIFA2014 launch

AMSTERDAM – December 20, 2013 – To create buzz around the hotly-anticipated launch of FIFA2014, a series of 3D, interactive props has been unveiled as part of the FIFA2014 online gaming experience.

Designed by The Ambassadors to bring to life the FIFA2014 launch website, created by AKQA, the props, which include a van, a football sculpture and a sports stadium, can be viewed from every angle and each unlock a different area of the site.

Adam Janeczek, Art Director, The Ambassadors, commented, “When we were approached to design and produce the FIFA2014 interactive props, we knew it was going to be a challenge – but one we were very happy to rise to.

“For a start, it was the first time that we had art directed and animated elements to be used on a website, within an interactive environment.  Added to this, it required close interaction and a new way of working, between the design and animation and VFX teams.  The whole process had a lot more in common with video game design than creating a TVC.”
