A-List Hollywood Awards announces new Platinum Award

GLOBAL – December 12, 2013 – In anticipation of what will be the largest A-List Hollywood Awards yet, Founding Director Robert Arentz has announced the inclusion of a new Platinum Award. An Award that will be given in recognition of the most successful Agency across all award groups and categories from this year.
Following on from a recent call for entries, the A-List Awards are pleased to present a new award that, Arentz says, “acknowledges the single most successful agency that has created the most outstanding body of work and won the most awards across all categories this year.”
Coming into its third year, the A-List Hollywood Awards are the only creative advertising competition of its kind in Hollywood, honoring creative excellence and innovation. A competition that highlights the link between advertising and entertainment across four award groups and several categories to recognize the best talent in International Commercial, Direction, Production, Editing, Visual Effects, Animation and more.
Apart from the new Platinum Award, the A-List Hollywood Awards announced a brand new judging panel. A panel of industry elite and an impressive group of experts from some of the most recognized advertising and entertainment companies in the world. With its international flavor, including judges from USA, Asia and Europe, it is hard to not be impressed by company names such as Leo Burnett, Universal McCann and Clemenger BBDO.
When asked to comment on the importance of the A-List Awards, panelist John Mescall from McCann Australia, went on to state that “awards shows have two purposes: to reward the remarkable, but even more importantly to show the way forward for our industry. So I’m hoping that we not only get to award some great pieces, but also select a body of work that inspires agencies and clients alike with the possibilities that branded entertainment brings.” 
Jae Goodman of Creative Artists Agency Los Angeles added that “while many of the great advertising award shows have embraced the brand work being done at the intersection of marketing and entertainment, the A-List Hollywood Awards were born to celebrate this work.”
Arentz continued, “This year, we have what I believe is the best panel of industry experts to date. It is a true reflection on the importance and perception of our awards to the advertising and entertainment industry. With the caliber of companies and industry names on-board this year, I feel this will be a defining year for the A-List Awards.”
