MANILA, OCTOBER 19, 2012 – Launching tomorrow, October 20, is Geekology, a book showcasing the cosplay photography of Jay Tablante. The launch is at 4PM at National Bookstore Greenlanes, Greenhills Shopping Center.
The book features personalities like Solenn Heussaff, Rhian Ramos Howell, Alodia and Angel Gosiengfiao, Alexandra Rocha, Iwa Moto, Bianca King, Jinri Park, and many more, all garbed in full superhero or video game icon attire.
Tablante’s partners include a mix of upstart and veteran creatives such as Gelo Lico, Tonypet Sarmiento, Jason Drilon, Bixie Reyes, Deng Tee, Joe Dy, Carl Urgino, Javey Villones, Ryder Aquino, Jhem Manalang, Noel Valdez, Budjette Tan, Argem Vinuya, JL Manuel, Ramon Alfonso and others, all working for free.
Over 5 years in the making, Tablante describes the journey as a “passion project” on which his crew collaborated with a slew of top models and several cohorts from the advertising industry to complete.
“You get to see what happens when you let Creatives just be creative,” said Tablante.
