CBSi appoints new head of consumer commercial strategy

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, JUNE 1, 2012: CBS Interactive named Gary Chin as head of consumer commercial strategy, APAC. Chin is responsible for owning the revenue and growth strategies primarily for CNET, GameSpot and TV.com as well as CBSNews.com and other brands from within the network.

Gary’s appointment comes shortly after the announcement of CBS Interactive’s exclusive global partnership with TwitchTV and Major League Gaming (MLG), marking a major expansion into the fast- growing categories of live gaming and eSports. By combining the world’s biggest live video gaming community with the most popular eSports league, and its flagship gaming property, GameSpot.com, CBS Interactive Games now serves more than 3 billion minutes of live gaming and eSports content monthly, making it the most engaged video property for gamers worldwide. Chin will be the driving force behind these partnerships in the APAC region for CBS Interactive.
