Dentsu: Vietnam football hero Le Cong Vinh transfers to J-League

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, SEPTEMBER 2, 2013 – Le Cong Vinh, Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) FC striker and one of the best in the history of Vietnamese football, has been transferred to Consadole Sapporo (CS) FC – Japanese National Football League through the involvement of Dentsu Network/Asia’s local subsidiary Dentsu Media Vietnam.

Dentsu Media Vietnam supported the international transfer, assisting in a year of negotiations between SLNA FC and CS FC, enabling Cong Vinh play for J-League from August 1, 2013 to Jan 1, 2014. Earlier this month, the loan contract was finally signed, formalizing the deal.

Cong Vinh’s transfer contributed to creation of interesting opportunities between two football crazy nations in sports and marketing. It will not only enhance his career  but also provide avenue for sponsorship and branding while paving the way for other Vietnamese professional football players to play football abroad.
