Draftfcb Manila and PLDT launches Project Pagsulong

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 5, 2012 – In recognition of the importance of nation-building, Draftfcb Manila, in partnership with PLDT, recently launched Project Pagsulong, supporting aspiring young entrepreneurs to create innovative business ideas that can help alleviate poverty in the country.

Through the project, young Filipino entrepreneurs are presented with the P1 million nationwide challenge to pitch business ideas on how they can potentially solve the societal issue of poverty. PLDT KaAsenso, PLDT-Smart Foundation, The Outstanding Students of the Philippines Alumni Community (TOSP-AC), and RFM Foundation have provided an opportunity for the youth to make their entrepreneurial ideas a reality.

The project calls for all Filipino youths, aged 18-30, regardless of socioeconomic status and educational attainment, to form a team of three to five people and submit an entrepreneurial idea which they think can help alleviate poverty.

Draftfcb Manila, known for its ‘6.5 Seconds That Matter’ philosophy which calls for engaging the consumers with something that matters to them in the shortest time possible, shares PLDT’s vision of empowering the youth to become socially-responsible citizens who are passionate about changing society for the better.

PLDT’s creative agency since 2004, Draftfcb devised the digital communications plan and produced above-the-line materials. Through these efforts, Project Pagsulong shall continue to be a venue for those who want to effect positive change not only for themselves, but also for their country.

Deadline of submission of entries has been extended to September 15, 2012.  For more information on Project Pagsulong, visit www.projectpagsulong.ph
