Fox launches Filipino channel

THE PHILIPPINES, APRIL 26, 2012: Fox International Channels unveiled the newest addition to its roster of Pay TV channels with the launch of FOX FILIPINO, the all-new local series channel which will feature Philippine shows, movies, and documentaries.
 
Since its launch on March 1, 2012, the channel has already broadcasted television series from GMA 7 such as Encantadia, Trudis Liit, Stairway to Heaven, and Darna. During weekends, local movies that were shown are new Police Story, Let the Love Begin, and Kung Fu Chefs.
 
“We are very excited about Fox Filipino as this is the first local content channel from the Fox International Channels network. This is all part of our efforts to make our products more relevant to our consumers. And with this new channel, we believe that we are offering something new to the Pay TV market as we’ve combined the global equity of the Fox brand and some of the best local TV programs produced by the different Philippine networks,” said Jude Turcuato, territory head of Fox International Channels Philippines. 
 
Fox Filipino is currently seen on Global Destiny channel 41, Cignal channel 24, Cablelink channel 51, Parasat channel 50, and Unicable channel 15.
