Gong 2013 CCA appoints Ian Lew as deputy chairman for Craft

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, FEBRUARY 28, 2013 – The Gong 2013 Creative Circle Awards is welcoming Song Zu managing director Ian Lew is as the deputy chairman of the Craft category. 

 
Lew graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 1989. Moving to London, he took up a position with Arthur Andersen where he specialized in advertising and media including a long-term secondment to Sir Martin Sorrell’s WPP Group.
 
In 1996 after relocating to Sydney he joined Song Zu as general manager, moving to Supersonic in 2000 with the same position in addition to being executive producer primarily working in TV and film including the music contractor role on Alex Proyas’s feature film, "Garage Days".
 
In August 2003, Lew became part of the Song Zu Management buy-out team and returned to Song Zu Sydney before relocating to Song Zu Singapore in April 2011.
Ian has overseen the music and sound on countless Australian, Asian and Worldwide commercials including Coca-Cola, Visa, Standard Chartered Bank, Mercedes, Qantas and Singapore Airlines spots to name but a few.
 
In recent years Song Zu has been awarded numerous awards for their music and sound design work including Gold Clios, London Internationals, Australian Creative Magazine Hotshop of the year, Promaxes, AWARD Awards, Adfest Awards, Asian Television Awards and Singapore’s Creative Circle Awards.
 
“The advertising industry can’t get anywhere without our friends in the TV, radio, retouching, photography houses. And their craft is what makes our work shine. The craft categories are a very important part of the Creative Circle Awards, which is why we wanted an important and significant representation from the support industries on both the committee and the juries. I’m chuffed that we have Ian on the committee as Deputy Chairman (Craft),” said Joji Jacob, chairman and jury president of the Gong 2013 Creative Circle Awards.
