Graphika Manila set to return at an earlier date

MANILA, JANUARY 23, 2013 – The premiere multimedia and graphic design event in the Philippines, Graphika Manila, comes back at an earlier date this year, slated on February 9, 2013 at the PICC Plenary Hall.

 
The speakers are a hodgepodge of advertising, film and graphic design professionals.
 
Benjamin Seide is a VFX Supervisor at Pixomondo, an international visual effects company. He has worked on various films and TV series including Martin Scorcese’s feature film “Hugo” and HBO’s “Game of Thrones”. 
 
Celebrated designer, art director and illustrator, Jessica Walsh of Sagmeister & Walsh has received various distinctions in the field including Computer Art’s “Top Rising Star in Design”, an Art Director’s Club “Young Guns” award and Print Magazine’s “New Visual Artist”. 
 
Armand Serrano of Sony Pictures Animation serves as a conceptual art director and senior visual developer. The company has made many a box office movie including “Hotel Transylvania” (3D), and the 2011 hybrid live action/animation blockbuster, “The Smurfs” (3D).
 
Self-taught Paper Engineer Benja Harney creates high-end pop-up books and professional paper construction for every possible application, including advertising, editorial illustration, fashion, packaging, invitations and fine art. Some of his notable works include dressing the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney and Kylie Minogue Aphrodite World Tour pop-up book.
 
James White has worked for Toyota, Universal Music, Nike, MTV, Google, Wired and many other clients. He is currently behind the Signalnoise Studio in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada as a visual artist, designer, speaker and a one-man crew.
 
Ryan Honey is a creative director and partner at Buck, a design-driven production company. 
Buck is composed of an integrated collective of directors, producers, digital artists, graphic designers, illustrators and animators, who believe in the power of collaboration—the special alchemy that only happens when working together toward a common purpose.
 
Koto & Shin are two-fifths of design team, Devilrobots. A little evil and robotic fun is their taste, and the original world of “Cute and blackness” is in the effect. Symbolic character TO-FU OYAKO is well known world wide.
