THE PHILIPPINES, OCTOBER 2011: Balls Channel, home of the biggest sporting events in the world, hosted the first Balls Volley Invitational Cup for its advertisers last September 17 at the Maple court of Poveda College.
Teams slugged it out, spiked hard and cheered for their players to do their best, all working out their strategies on the courty as they would in the media planning room. Mediaforce and Group M made it to the finals and fought fiercely to the finish, but it was the latter that walked off the court as champions of the Balls Volley Invitational Cup. Group M took home a prize of PHP80,000, while Mediaforce received PHP50,000.

Eric Jalmasco was named the Most Valuable Player among the male players, while Jane Maturan was awarded the female MVP title. Both won flights to Japan for the FIVB Volleyball World Cup in November.
