Harrison’s Arenas retires; Custodio takes the helm

THE PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 1, 2012: Harrison Communications will undergo management transition as Ernest Custodio takes on managing director post succeeding Maricel Pangilinan-Arenas who retires August 15 after ten years at the helm of the company. 

Under Arenas’ leadership, Harrison has produced various campaigns one of which is is the first Asian Effie finalist "Neovela" for Neozep. Harrison was also the agency behind campaigns such as Globe’s "Blue Ribbon", Gentext "R U 1 F US", "Posible", and "Higante".
 
Arenas sums up her career saying: “I retire from Harrison still truly, madly, deeply in love with the agency’s increasingly complex craft, the passionate team, and the friendships borne out of partnerships with clients. I know a fab future awaits.
 
Arenas exits the company at the heels of a record year achieving 30% growth in 2011 with the success of works for various Globe Business Brands and Tattoo Broadband, M. Lhuillier, and Universal Robina Corporation’s Chicharron ni Mang Juan and Magic Flakes.
 
Harrison’s resident HIT man (Head of Innovation and Technology) Custodio will continue the agency’s venture into the digital space and development of content and intellectual property to utilize emerging business opportunities in these areas.
 
On his new role, Custodio said, ”I am honored to be succeeding Maricel in leading a transformed Harrison. With her remarkable foresight and guidance, she has put together a team primed to meet new market demands. We are excited about the path ahead and the new directions that we will be pursuing in the near future.”
 
Custodio’s 14-year career can be traced through his works with Ogilvy, Dentsu, McCann Worldgroup/MRM Worldwide, Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide.
