JWT mentors to lead ADFEST Young Lotus Workshop 2012

ASIA-PACIFIC – BANGKOK, THAILAND, DECEMBER 2011: The Asia-Pacific Advertising Festival (ADFEST) is pleased to announce that JWT South East Asia Regional Creative Director and Global ECD of Lux, Tay Guan Hin, will chair the ADFEST Young Lotus Workshop in 2012. The workshop runs on March 15 to 17, prior to the festival on March 18 to 20, 2012.
 
Now on its 8th year, the Young Lotus Workshop supports rising stars in the Asia Pacific by creating an environment in which to develop new skills and learn from award-winning creative gurus. This is Tay’s second time as ADFEST Young Lotus Workshop chair.
 
“I’m thrilled to serve as the chairman of the Young Lotus workshop. It’s a privilege to work with young, enthusiastic talent who want to learn and grow. Creativity is a two-way street: as much as I hope to nurture and inspire this group, I’m sure I’ll come away energized by their hunger and passion,” says Tay.
 
The 2012 Young Lotus Workshop will be facilitated by a select group of trainers from JWT’s global network.  Over two-and-a-half days, creative teams from around 18 different cities will be coached, briefed and given a creative assignment – with just 24 hours to meet their deadline.
 
The top-performing creative teams will be applauded on stage during the Young Lotus awards presentation at ADFEST 2012.

It is now one of the top creative training platforms in the region, rewarding talented creatives with the chance to learn from the world’s best. Today’s young creatives are tomorrow’s leaders, so ADFEST remains committed to giving them the skills they need to compete in a global market,” says ADFEST President Jimmy Lam.
 
Tay Hin joins an esteemed line-up of executives to have chaired the Young Lotus Workshop, including Craig Davis (2004), Linda Locke (2005), Akira Kagami (2009) and John Merrifield (2011).
 
Participants in the Young Lotus Workshop must be under 30 years of age with at least one year’s experience in the advertising business.
