KingCom launches affordable PadPhone

MANILA, FEBRUARY 13, 2013 – A new line of affordable tablets/phones have been launched by KingCom, a brand that produces good quality tech products at a low price. The latest tablet/phone in KingCom’s product line, the PadPhone 61, is a 6-inch tablet and phone hybrid that boasts of having both smartphone and tablet capabilities.

 
As a smartphone, the PadPhone functions as a normal phone, giving one the ability to make calls, send text messages and use the 3G network to connect to the internet. Its 6-inch screen, which possesses a capacitive touchscreen, is bigger than most smartphone brands and is responsive to one’s finger strokes, making navigating through menus and apps a breeze. 
 
The big screen is one of the features that the PadPhone boasts of, giving users a bigger point-of-view when playing games, watching movies, or browsing through pictures compared with that of the usual phone. A two-finger pinch-in/out to zoom in/out is also possible with the PadPhone. 
 
The gadget is an entertainment and business hub in one, allowing the user to download new games and applications to tinker with through the Google PlayStore while making for portable office, perfect for editing Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, or editing articles in its word processor. A PDF reader is also on-hand for ebooks and other documents.
 
With all these features, the PadPhone 61 sells for some Php11,318, upholding the company’s premise of producing high-quality gadgets that are affordable by all market segments. The company believes that advances in technology should not only be reserved to a few. KingCom product development head Carlo Tabilog echoes this sentiment, saying, “For people to appreciate technology….People should be able to afford technology.”
 
And to bring realize this goal, KingCom signed a partnership with Opal Holdings, which has the largest distribution and marketing network. Opal Holdings also has the most experience in consumer products distribution in the Philippines, receiving several awards including Distributor of the Year for the entire Southeast Asia & Pacific Region by one of the big name brand of mobile phones. Through the partnership, affordably-priced, high quality, high-tech gadgets are easier to get into the hands of people, allowing all Filipinos to truly start to appreciate technology.
