ASIA-PACIFIC – BANGKOK, THAILAND, MAY 22, 2012: Filipino creatives Katrina Encanto and EJ Galang have joined forces as regional senior art director and regional senior copywriter respectively at Lowe Bangkok to handle the agency’s diverse client portfolio.
Prior to the move, Encanto was an innovation specialist at Italian food company Barilla. Her advertising career started out in Ogilvy & Mather Philippines where she was a creative intern. She then moved on to be Ace Saatchi & Saatchi’s art director for three years and then moved to JWT Manila where she worked for more than two years. Her work has been recognized at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, and The Work.
Galang joins Lowe Bangkok from DM9 JaymeSyfu where he was senior copywriter for more than 5 years. Prior to the move, he was copywriter at Ace Saatchi & Saatchi. His work has been recognized at the Clios, Cannes, Media Spikes, AdFest, Australian Writers and Art Director’s Awards (AWARD), New York Festivals, D&AD and The Work.
This new appointment marks the third time this year that Lowe network has signed Filipino creatives, which included former BBDO Guerrero ECD Brandie Tan and former Ace Saatchi & Saatchi art director Gelo Lico.
