MANILA, APRIL 24, 2013 – Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines’ (IMMAP) 2012 president Manny Fernando has been appointed as Managing Director of McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ digital arm, MRM Manila, effective May 2.
The former president and CEO of Megamobile, a post he held concurrent with his function as Head of Digital Strategy of the Inquirer Group of Companies, is tasked to expand MRM’s leadership into new territories and to play a vital role in further developing McCann’s integrated business solutions.
Fernando inherits a strong team from Donald Lim who will be moving on to giant media network ABS-CBN. MRM Manila is notable for its strong performance in the past year, its campaigns recognized in international and local shows: Campaign Asia Pacific Agency of the Year (Digital Agency of the Year), Spikes Asia, New York AME for Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness, Asia Pacific Digital Media Awards, Asian Marketing Effectiveness, 4A’s Agency of the Year (Digital Excellence Awardee), Araw Values Awards, IMMAP Boomerang, Tambuli, PANATA and Kidlat Awards.

Fernando brings 18 years’ experience in the mobile and telecommunications industry, with extensive proficiencies in integrated digital content and application development, product management and business models & technology development. He has held management positions in leading telecommunications, media and technology companies including Ericsson Telecommunications, Wireless Services Asia, Isla Communications, and IPVG Corp. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Management at The American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona, USA and a college degree in Business Management at the Ateneo de Manila University.
