iris Nation Singapore and Ogilvy PR Taiwan bag Globes at MAA Worldwide Awards

GLOBAL, NOVEMBER 2011: Asia received eight awards at the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA) Globes held last month at the Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A total of 48 Globes, Silver and Bronze Certificates, as well as Orders of Merit, were given in 16 entry categories.
 
 

 
iris Nation Singapore leads the region’s winners with wins in two categories. The agency received the Globe in Best Product Launch or Re-Launch for "Heineken – Please Do Touch" for client Asia Pacific Breweries, as well as a Bronze in Best Business-to-Business Campaign for its "Bar Heroes Pint Programme" for the same client.

Another Globe went to Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Taiwan for its "Taiwan Pavilion at Expo 2010" for the Taipei World Trade Center.
 
Silvers were handed to Y&R Vietnam and RAPP China in separate categories. The "Ovaltine Super 5" campaign by Y&R Vietnam for Associated British Foods & Friesland Campina Vietnam took home Silver in Best Digital Promotion Marketing Campaign; the "Johnnie Walker Black Label Brand Ambassador Program" for Diageo was RAPP China’s ticket to a Silver in Best Activity Generating Brand Loyalty. In the same category, McCann Erickson Malaysia’s "Receipt Story" for Book Xcess walked away with a Bronze Award.
 
Two additional Bronzes went to Bates Vietnam and Hong Kong for their "Heineken Countdown to 2011 Party", again for Asia Pacific Breweries in the Best Event or Experiential Marketing Campaign, and to Dentsu Young & Rubicam, Japan for its "Tokyo Marathon Special Banana" for Dole Japan in Best Sponsorship or Tie-In Campaign.

Arc Worldwide, USA’s “Arm Yourself for the Ones You Love” campaign for Walgreens is the 2011 Grand Prix winner in the 26th MAA Worldwide GLOBES Recognition Program, with a ‘Best of the Best’ Globe and two Globes for ‘Best in Category’. The campaign inspired people to stop procrastinating and get their flu shots at Walgreens. Heart shaped bandages were provided to mothers to write in the names of the people she was protecting, by getting their flu shot.
