Mindshare names new GM of Guangzhou

ASIA-PACIFIC – GUANGZHOU, CHINA, AUGUST 1, 2012: Mindshare has promoted May Lam, currently general manager of international key accounts, to general manager of the Guangzhou office.
 
In her new role, Lam will report directly to Linda Lin, Vice-President of Mindshare China. She will be tasked to lead the office in strategic business development as well as operations.
 
“May has been with the Mindshare network for 13 years and has worked in both the Hong Kong as well as Shanghai offices. Over the years, she has worked in multiple sectors including beauty, luxury and FMCG categories. She has risen through the ranks and has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic thinking. Most importantly, she epitomises the Mindshare culture, making her the obvious person to head up the Guangzhou office.” Said Lin.
 
Lam has worked in various teams within Greater China across blue-chip brands including Estée Lauder, HSBC, L’Oréal, Nike, Gap, Kimberly- Clark, Diageo, Ford China and Volvo.
 
Commenting on the news of her promotion, Lam said: “I would like to thank the management for this opportunity and for their faith and trust in me. I love Mindshare and am looking forward to taking the Guangzhou operations to greater heights.”
