OMD promotes Paddy Crawshaw to head of communications planning for Asia Pacific

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, FEBRUARY 2, 2012 – Paddy Crawshaw has been promoted as OMD’s head of communications planning for Asia Pacific, effective immediately. Crawshaw’s new role will include enhancing OMD’s strategic planning capabilities and strengthening the marketing effectiveness of client campaigns in the region region.

Crawshaw was previously based in London, working on automotive, retail and government clients as brand communication account director at Manning Gottlieb OMD, before relocating to China. While in Shanghai, he served as the communications planning director for OMD China for two years, and then moved to Singapore to take on his new role.

“Paddy contributed immensely to our new business success across the region in 2011, helping ensure it was our most successful year ever in terms of billings growth,” said Steve Blakeman, CEO of OMD Asia Pacific, to whom Crawshaw will report. “Paddy has also played an instrumental role in driving a culture of creativity, yet focused on results which has resulted in OMD securing numerous industry awards and accolades. In his expanded role working across our key regional and global portfolio of clients, Paddy will continue to be a great asset to our organization,” Blakeman added.
