MANILA, SEPTEMBER 2, 2013 – History’s Pawn Stars father-and-son duo Rick and Corey Harrison arrived in Manila Thursday, last week, for a meet and greet event with their fans. Manila was their second stop among other destinations such as Tokyo, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi.
Pawn Stars fans participated in trivia contests, games and raffle draws.
The Harrisons said they never thought they would be popular. With the success of the show, their pawn shop now gets3,000 visitors on a slow day, far from the 70 visitors they were having before the series started. They came here to look for more things to pawn and share some tips for those interested in the business.
“I can honestly say that if you come into the shop and you’re rude and you’re angry and you’re bothering me … I am probably going to give you a lower price than I normally would,” shared orey Harrison. “If I have a good time with you and I actually enjoy doing business with you, I generally don’t mind paying a little bit more.”
History Channel is home to Pawn Stars, which airs every Monday at 10pm (Manila time).
