PHD Australia appoints Angela Rapley to director of content

SYDNEY – October 11, 2013 – PHD Australia has appointed Angela Rapley to the newly formed role of Director of Content, the company announced in a press release.
 
Rapley, a branded content specialist, has worked in senior roles from both the production/creative and agency/brand perspectives. In her new role, she will take responsibility for the development of PHD‟s content offering. 
 
Before joining PHD, Rapley spent two years in Singapore as Mediacom‟s Head of Content  APAC working across 14 markets, a portfolio of clients including Procter &Gamble, Shell, Dell, Audi and Coca Cola. 
 
Whilst in Asia she brokered and worked on Freedom Riders Asia, a major pan-regional advertiser-funded programme for Shell Global on Fox Sports; Miss Country Girl, a P&G brand-funded prime-time reality show in Thailand; and the hugely successful Vietnam’s Got Talent for P&G– the highest rating TV show in Vietnamese TV history. 
 
Rapley’s experience includes 16 years of working in television in both the UK and her native Ireland, initially in music programming as a presenter / reporter, then as a producer on topical / entertainment shows for UK channels including BBC, ITV, Sky One and Five, and on current affairs programmes for Sky News in Westminster.
