PHD Singapore appoints strategy lead for Unilever global communications planning unit

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, JANUARY 24, 2013 – PHD Singapore has appointed John Gamvros, as global head of content and digital strategy on the Unilever Global Communications Planning account. Gamvros is part of a 10-member team set up to manage Unilever’s global communications planning account out of Singapore, one of the two hubs for servicing the business, the other being a 30-member strong team in the UK.
 
Gamvros is the strategy lead for the personal care category, with a focus on branded content and digital. He will be working closely with the team in Singapore headed by Marie Gruy, managing partner, PHD Singapore and the team in London, headed by Robert Ray, managing Director of the Unilever Global Planning Unit.
 
No stranger to Omnicom Media Group, Gamvros has spent seven years at OMD, Australia, where he was a founding member of Fuse, OMD’s branded content arm. In 2008, he was appointed to Omnicom’s Creativity Council and his work on V Energy Drink received the MFA Grand Prix, Australia’s highest media award. Most recently, Gamvros was with Saatchi and Saatchi as regional planning director, based out of Singapore.
