Publicis India hires Bobby Pawar as chief creative officer

ASIA-PACIFIC – INDIA, JUNE 5, 2013 – Ex-JWT India chief creative Bobby Pawar is stepping in as director and chief creative officer of Publicis India. He joins BBH’s Partha Sinha and Vivaki Exchange’s Ambika Srivastava in Publicis’ latest management appointments. 

Pawar exited JWT in March, during the height of a controversy surrounding a series of sexually offensive posters for client Ford Figo that were entered into Goafest, India’s top awards show. At Publicis, he replaces Ashish Khazanchi who is yet to announce his next step.

Sinha will take office as director and chief strategy officer for South Asia. Senior strategy director Sanjay Sharma assumes his role at BBH as head of planning.

All three wil report to Nakul Chopra, Publicis Worldwide South Asia CEO.
