MANILA, OCTOBER 22, 2012 – ABS-CBN gets nostalgic with the launch of Jeepney TV – its newest cable channel that offers well-loved and timeless Kapamilya shows and movies.
The late comedy king Dolphy’s long-running series "Home Along Da Riles" makes a comeback on daily weekday primetime, along with other old-time funny favorites "Bida Si Mister, Bida Si Misis", "Whattamen", "Oki Doki Doc", "Pwedeng-Pwede" and "Goin’ Bananas".
Jeepney TV has also scheduled reruns of high-rating teleseryes "Pangako Sa’Yo", "It Might Be You" and classic episodes of "Maalala Mo Kaya".
Gary Valenciano ("Mr Pure Energy") has been commissioned to revive the 80s hit "Eto Na Naman" , which will serve as the channel’s theme. As the song goes, "Nawawala… bumabalik, Eto na naman!", other beloved ABS-CBN shows such as "Ang TV", "Game KNB?", "Ryan Ryan Musikahan" and "Gimik" will keep TV’s beautiful memories alive.
Jeepney TV airs 24 hours a day via SkyCable Channel 69 beginning October 22.
