Samsung and Usain Bolt are teaming up to introduce the Korean company’s Smart Camera NX300 via a global TV spot directed by acclaimed director Mark Romanek and set to music by celebrated producer Josh Ralph.
The Smart Camera NX300 features dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and an AutoShare function to enable users to share photos with smart devices. The NX300 has been both a critical and a sales success; international review sites such as CNET and T3 have given it good reviews, and in South Korea the camera has sold well.
For his part, Usain Bolt is one of the most recognizable sports luminaries today. Known as “the fastest man in the world”, Bolt is famous for being the first man in history to hold both the 100 and 200 meters world records since the imposition of mandatory fully automatic time measurement in 1977, for being the first man to win six Olympic gold medals in sprinting, and so on.
Samsung says that Bolt’s “extreme focus and speed” makes him the ideal man to champion a camera like the NX300. Additionally, he is also one of those figures who understands how important it is to dovetail substance and style, making him a perfect fit for the NX300.
