Shoppers can now conquer Divisoria with new guide app

MANILA, September 9, 2013 – Divisoria can be an intimidating place for even the most skilled shoppers. The shopping district is as notorious for its dirt-cheap prices as it is for its throbbing crowd, pickpockets, and labyrinthine layout.

Now, though, Divisoria can be easier conquered, thanks to a new app that allows users to navigate the marketplace and find the best places for a bargain.

Some of the app’s features include an offline as well as an interactive map, a guide to Divisoria’s streets and malls, a product guide detailing the items you can outsource in the area, safety tips, and even information on better finds outside of Divisoria.

The app was created by John Christian Yayen, a Nursing Graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas. Yayen said that he created the app for small business owners who get their supplies from the area, as well as for bargain-hunters who want to learn more about the marketplace.

Yayen shared that not much information on Divisoria is available, and even locals and those who frequent the area are not very familiar with it.

"Divisoria Guide is the perfect app for everyone who would dare to visit that part of Manila especially nowadays that even search engine giant, Google has very limited information about it," Yayen said.

After almost a year of research, the app was launched last September 6, and is available for $2.99 on the Mac App Store. It will also be available for Android soon.
