Sulit.com.ph acquires Pinoy Auto Trader

MANILA, July 10, 2013 – Sulit.com.ph, the country’s leading buy and sell website, has acquired the country’s newest go-to hub for new and used cars, Pinoy Auto Trader. This partnership  will provide car buyers and sellers a better opportunity to meet their needs.

Pinoy Auto Trader website was launched by group of individuals who share the same passion – accessible car buying and selling for Filipinos.  The team was composed of 14 individuals headed by its three founders: Daniel Scott (chief executive officer), Christopher Franks (chief operating officer) and Reynaldo Castellano III (chief technology officer). Through online marketing, Pinoy Auto Trader aims to connect car buyers with private car sellers, used car trade dealership and new car distributors.

Due to the popularity of online classifieds, Pinoy Autor Trader decided to build a partnership with a classified website despite having its own website. Prior to its website launch November last year, the founders approached sulit.com.ph for possible partnership. Pinoy Auto Trader believed that sulit.com.ph is the ideal online classifieds that can direct to them the right audience with 18 million unique page views a month on its Sulit Car directory.

Pinoy Auto Trader chief operating officer Christopher Franks told adobo Magazine: “From these numbers alone it’s obvious that this is where the majority of the car industry are listing their vehicles. As a result, working closely alongside a brand as big as Sulit.com.ph made perfect sense in order for us to efficiently highlight our advanced dealership services to existing B2C advertisers.”

Months after the discussion between the parties, the acquisition was finally decided upon early this year.  Sulit.com.ph will be working on C2C marketing (customer and customer) while Pinoy Auto Trader will continue serving their existing B2C market (dealers and distributors of new and used cars).

Sulit.com.ph corporate communications supervisor Jean Magboo advised adobo Magazine: “Our partnership with Pinoy Auto Trader team is a step further into maintaining our commitment to continuously provide fast and easy transaction experience to all our users. Pinoy Auto Trader is not just about buying and selling, it’s a great resource for the motoring world.”

The redesigned Pinoy Auto Trader platform will support the growing automotive industry in the country. Franks continues, “As a result, the need for both new and used car dealerships to strengthen their online branding has never been more important – Pinoy Auto Trader can help them achieve this.”

Detailed car reviews by C! Magazine, an automotive magazine who is also a partner of Pinoy Auto Trade, can be found in the redesigned website. Sellers will find it easier to upload images using ‘add-your-cars-process.’They will also be able to manage and update their information by logging into their own micro dealer sites. The new platform also provides connection not just to the largest directory of dealership showrooms nationwide but also to social media. Since Pinoy Auto Trader is not just about car buying and selling, it also provides a directory of driving schools, establishments providing car repairs, car rentals, car loans and insurance.

“It is definitely one of the best things to watch out for in the Philippine digital space this year,” concluded Sulit.com.ph.
