MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Filipina tennis sensation and Globe ambassador Alex Eala continues to inspire a nation after her groundbreaking performance at the Miami Open. At just 19, Eala made waves on the global stage, proving that Filipino talent can hold its own against the best in the world.

The wildcard and world No. 140 stunned tennis fans everywhere, defeating three formidable Grand Slam champions: world No. 25 Jelena Ostapenko, world No. 5 Madison Keys, and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek before ultimately bowing out in a thrilling semifinal clash against American Jessica Pegula. Her electrifying run at the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament put the Philippines on the global tennis map and solidified her position as a future star of the sport.
