THE PHILIPPINES, JUNE 15, 2012: On its 6th year, University of Asia & the Pacific’s Tambuli Awards 2012 awarded the best in advertising as well as those who have shown great societal values in their work on June 15, 2012.
For the second year in a row, Publicis Manila took home the Effectiveness Agency of the Year award. "It’s always been our intention as Publicis Manila to be more than just a creator of commercials, print ads, campaigns, or what-have-you. As an agency we recognize we are in a position to inform, influence and to impact the way the public thinks, feels, and acts. And it is our highest intention to responsibly do that," said Matec Villanueva, CEO of Publicis Manila, during her acceptance speech.
Winner of the coveted Carmencita Esteban Platinum Award is Diwal Mithaas (Sweetness) Campaign by Contract Advertising India Private Limited for Cadbury India.
Nestle Philippines received the Effectiveness Advertiser of the Year. "This is a reminder for us to re-commit ourselves to the service of the Filipino people for the next 100 years," said Nestle chairman and CEO John Miller.
The CMO of the Year awardee is Alaska Milk Corporation Vice President for Marketing Ma. Belen Pilar Fernando. "What makes this Tambuli Award different from others is that it goes beyond creativity and business. It encourages marketing people to influence and inspire positive values," Fernando shares.
The awards night was hosted by Chiqui Roa-Puno and Chris Tiu while The Company serenaded the audience. The complete results are as follows:
