TBWASingapore helps Corona reinvent the calendar

SINGAPORE, MAY 29, 2013 – TBWA\Singapore has created ‘The Corona Calendar’ to help evolve Corona’s 2012 ‘Let the World Wait’ campaign for the Asia Pacific region, and in support of the popular beer brand’s efforts to help the world go on hold and enjoy refreshing and meaningful moments.

‘The Corona Calendar’ helps put a spotlight on obscure holidays to help enliven daily life, 365 days a year, and also helps celebrate historically significant dates and those with cultural significance. It advocates the celebration of such unusual holidays as ‘Global Beatles Day, ‘The Day the Refrigerator was Patented’ and even ‘Draw a Bird Day’, to help people take a break and enjoy moments with their friends and Corona.

Drawing from research, TBWA\Singapore put together 365 graphic designs that can be used in daily social media posts and in ‘real-life’ applications as well, including bar coasters, supplement promotions and point of purchase displays. These designs can be adapted and utilized to match individual requirements and specific holidays, for instance, across the 14 Asian markets in which Corona is present.

The development of ‘The Corona Calendar’ was initiated by Creative Directors Gary Steele and Hagan de Villiers.
