The Young CUP Competition is on

GLOBAL – TURKEY, FEBRUARY 8, 2013 – Two young creatives under the age of 30 will be given the opportunity to be a part of The Istanbul CUP and get free passes to the 6th Intercontinental Advertising CUP and Creative Summit which will be held on March 8, 2013. The competition has already started and the winners will be determined in two weeks. 

 
For the 3rd run of the Young CUP competition, together with PepsiCo Turkey, young creative are encouraged to awaken their local spirit, genius loci and create an image based on the topic: “Express the Spirit of Your Country”. 
 
The competition will only have one round, which will take 20 days, to send in their best ideas. The participant who will receive the most Facebook likes and the one who will be chosen as the best by the Young CUP Competition jury panel will be pronounced as the winners. 
 
Aboard on the jury panel include Jure Apih, CEO of the Intercontinental Advertising Cup; Milka Pogliani, creative consultant and advisor who also served on The CUP jury many times in the past; and Karpat Polat, president and creative director at DDB&Co. Istanbul, the agency that created this year’s CUP image. 
 
In the two years that The CUP had run, more than 15 thousand people from 117 countries, speaking 93 different languages have come to check out the submitted entries on Facebook. Last year, the Young CUP consisted of four rounds in which the organizers of the competition received 199 entries.

The Intercontinental Advertising Cup will showcase the finalists from the biggest regional advertising festivals: Asia-Pacific’s ADFEST, Ibero-American FIAP, and New European Golden Drum. The ADC*E, Art Director’s Club of Europe, is also a member.
