Top digital artists named at first National Digital Arts Awards

MANILA, September 25, 2013 – After months of sifting through over 300 entries, the judges of the first National Digital Arts Awards (NDAA) finally announced the winners at an awards ceremony held at the SM Mall of Asia last September 20. 

 
The competition opened in November last year to amateur and professional digital artists, who were given the opportunity to submit to two categories: motion graphics, and print.
 
The winners of the first NDAA are:
 
Print (amateur):
1st Place –  Maria Cathlea I. Rosas
2nd Place – Jennylyn F. Cipriano
3rd Place –  Harrison M. Espina
People’s Choice – Harrison M. Espina
 
Print (professional):
1st Place – Vincent Rhafael S. Aseo
2nd Place – Danny A. Montevilla
3rd Place – John Louie S. Netro
People’s Choice – John Louie S. Netro
 
Motion Graphics (amateur):
1st Place – Jose Maria Tristan V. Yuvienco
2nd Place – Christine Joyce R. Silva
3rd  Place – Julius B. Cea
People’s Choice – Julius B. Cea
 
Motion Graphics (professional):
1st Place – Aya Cariza P. Ng
2nd Place – Megan Jemuel Jezer F. Palero
3rd Place – Howard O. Yu
People’s Choice – Saif S. Usman
 
The winners were determined by a panel of judges from the advertising and design industry: DM9JaymeSyfu executive creative director Eugene Demata, Dentsu Philippines executive creative director Noel San Juan, iAcademy creative director Tom Stratford, iAcademy creative consultant Howard Vitas, PrintOrange Inc. managing director Dani Mojica, Graphic Design Association of the Philippines’ Myles Delfin,adobo Magazine sales and marketing director Apple Manansala, and Pinay Media Planner associate producer Zeno Martinez.
