Y&R Philippines promotes Herbert Hernandez and Jenny Nadong

(Updated November 12, 2013) MANILA – October 30, 2013 – Y&R Philippines has announced the promotion of Herbert Hernandez to Executive Creative Director Y&R Philippines, and Jenny Nadong to Executive Creative Director – Colgate Palmolive.

Both report to Chief Creative Officer Y&R Philippines, Badong Abesamis, who was named Chief Creative Officer less than two months after joining Y&Ras executive creative director in 2009.
 
Herbert Hernandez was previously creative director for DM9JaymeSyfu before joining Y&R as creative director in March 2012. He has won several awards for his work at DM9, and has worked with Mini and the Department of Tourism. ernandez’ work has won multiple metals at Cannes, Award Australia, Spikes Asia, Adfest and Ad Stars, among other festivals.
 
He has also handled big clients like Inbisco, Colgate-Palmolive, Nestle, Unilever, Ford, San Miguel, Smart, Foodsphere, Tanduay and Splash. Campaign Brief Asia has consistently listed Hernandez among the Philippines’ Hottest Creatives and, as if being an advertising rock star wasn’t enough, he plays guitar after work for the bands Moonstar88 and 6cyclemind.

" width="200" height="133" hspace="5" align="right" alt="" />Nadong joined Y&R in September 2009 as creative director. A creative beloved by clients, Nadong has handled some of the Philippines’ biggest brands: Colgate-Palmolive, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, P & G, Mead Johnson, GSK, PLDT and Smart. Her work has been celebrated in both the Kidlat and Araw Awards, the country’s premier creative shows. Coming to Y&R by way of Saatchi and Lowe, Jenny off-hours can be found on her board, showing off her badass surfing moves.
